All Candidates’ Debate!
Hey Algonquin Students!
Are you feeling political?… well I hope so.
On October 8th at 12:00pm in the main cafeteria, Salon A, there is going to be an all candidates’ debate featuring the candidates from Ottawa West Nepean.
What’s really great about this debate is that it’s going to be an open forum. So… bring your questions and concerns and speak to the candidates directly.
There are so many issues going on right now, politically, that we should start talking about. So I challenge you to educate yourself on each political party and find out what is important to you. What does the government need to do to help students today? What are the biggest issues facing Canadians today?
Start talking, Algonquin! I want to see as many of you as possible at this debate.
Where: Marketplace Food Court, Salon A
When: 12:00 -1:00pm
Format: Open forum!
Links to Candidates’ Websites:
Frances Coates, Green Party
Marlene Rivier, NDP
John Baird, Conservative Party
David Pratt, Liberal Party

So the Candidates Debate is the Day after the first student forum? Awesome… I will definately be there! I’m a class rep so i will be at the forum on tuesday october 7 at 12noon!

Hey Sara,
Though we’re not checking student ID’s at this event… I would encourage you to keep the event for Algonquin students. We really want to provide Algonquin students with a venue. The candidates will also be participating in debates over Ottawa up until the election.
I hope you can come though!

Stephane Dion was here yesterday for a press conference yes. It was a very quick in-and-out, but yes, he was physically in the building.
Thanks Dorian

The areas with question marks are in fact questions for you to consider and think about.
Maybe to avoid any confusion we’ll space the questions out next time so they stand out a little more.
Thanks for the observation.
